Rubin Demands Action Against Pakistan After Pahalgam Terror Attack

Michael Rubin, a former U.S. government official, has strongly criticized Pakistan and its military leaders after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people, mostly civilians. Rubin believes the U.S. should label Pakistan as a country that supports terrorism and call their army chief, General Asim Munir, a terrorist. He even compared Munir to Osama Bin Laden, saying the only difference is where they live.

Rubin also used a saying to emphasize his point: “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.” This means that no matter how much people try to make Pakistan look good, it still supports terrorism. He accused Pakistan of using terrorism to distract from important U.S. visits to India.

Rubin compared the Pahalgam attack to a major attack by Hamas on Israel, stating that both targeted innocent civilians. He urged India to take strong action against Pakistan, just like Israel did with Hamas, and suggested that India should work with other countries to treat Pakistan’s intelligence agency as a terrorist group.

In response to the attack, India summoned Pakistan’s top diplomat in New Delhi and handed them a formal complaint. The Indian government has also called an all-party meeting to discuss the situation, which will be led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
