Rajnath Singh Leads All-Party Meeting After Pahalgam Terror Attack

India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, will hold a meeting with leaders from all political parties on Thursday evening. This meeting is to discuss the terrible terror attack that happened in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, on Tuesday, which killed 26 people and left many injured. The attack was carried out by a terrorist group called The Resistance Front.

The meeting was organized on Wednesday, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to join as well. However, members of the Janata Dal (United) party will not be attending because they are in Madhubani, Bihar, for a special event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sanjay Jha, the party leader, said that even if they are not at the meeting, they will support whatever decision the government makes for the country’s safety.

Additionally, India has taken strong steps against Pakistan, cutting back diplomatic ties and making new rules, including stopping the Indus Water Treaty from 1960 and closing the Attari-Wagah border.
