Power Stocks Dip: Winners and Losers of Thursday’s Trading”

In New Delhi, stocks of power companies saw a decline on Thursday. Some companies managed to do well, though. Inox Wind Ltd. led the gains, rising by 3.30%. Other companies like Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. and Jyoti Structures Ltd. also performed well, going up by 2.44% and 2.17%, respectively. PTC India Ltd. and Power and Instrumentation (Gujarat) Ltd. were up too, closing with gains of 2.14% and 2.00%.

On the downside, several companies struggled. Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd. fell the most, dropping by 4.61%. Other notable losers included KPI Green Energy Ltd. (down 2.61%) and NHPC Ltd. (down 1.43%).

Overall, the NSE Nifty50 index went down by 82.25 points, ending at 24,246.7, and the BSE Sensex closed down 315.06 points at 79,801.43.

In the Nifty list, IndusInd Bank Ltd. was one of the bright spots, rising by 3.22%. Other gainers included UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 1.76%) and Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 1.63%). However, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. suffered a loss of 4.07%, making it one of the biggest drops in the index.
