Fawad Khan’s ‘Abir Gulaal’ Banned in India After Pahalgam Terror Attack

A new Hindi movie called “Abir Gulaal,” featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, will not be allowed to release in India. This decision comes after a terrible attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed. The movie was supposed to come out on May 9.

The film’s director is Aarti S Bagdi, and it also stars Vaani Kapoor. After the Pahalgam attack, many people started calling for a ban on the movie. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), which represents many people in the film industry, announced that they want to stop all projects involving Pakistani artists, including Fawad Khan. They had made a similar decision after a previous attack in Pulwama in 2019.

Fawad Khan expressed his sadness about the Pahalgam attack on his Instagram account, saying he’s praying for the victims and their families. Vaani Kapoor also shared her feelings about the tragedy and offered her prayers for the victims’ families.

The movie “Abir Gulaal” is produced by Indian Stories Production, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures. In addition to Fawad and Vaani, the film also features Lisa Haydon and several other actors. Earlier this week, the creators were planning to release a new song from the movie, but it hasn’t come out yet.
