JD Vance’s First Visit to India: Traffic Tips and Schedule

US Vice President JD Vance is making his first visit to India from Monday, April 21, to Thursday, April 24. He will arrive in Delhi at around 9:30 am on Monday and meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 6:30 pm that evening. After Delhi, he will visit Jaipur on Tuesday and Agra on Wednesday before heading back home on Thursday morning.

To help with traffic during his visit, Delhi’s traffic police have shared some important guidelines. Here are the details:

Traffic Advice for Monday

– 9 am to 11 am: During this time, no cars can park on several important roads, including Sardar Patel Marg and Gurugram Road. People are advised to avoid these roads if possible. If cars are parked incorrectly, they will be towed.

– 11 am to 2 pm: Some roads in Central Delhi will be changed to keep traffic moving smoothly. Again, no parking will be allowed on specific roads. Alternate routes are suggested to help commuters.

– 6 pm to 9 pm: In the evening, parking will also be restricted on the same roads as earlier. Commuters should use the suggested alternate routes to avoid delays.

It is recommended to use public transport whenever possible and to leave early if you need to reach the bus or train stations or the airport.
