Building Collapse in Vadodara: Quick Action Saves Residents

A part of a three-story residential building in Vadodara collapsed late Sunday night, but thankfully, no one got hurt. The incident happened around 11 PM at the Suryakiran Building, which has six flats.

Officials say that residents were quickly evacuated, which helped prevent any injuries. A rescue operation was carried out for about four hours to make sure no one was trapped inside. Chief Fire Officer Manoj Patil mentioned that they used bulldozers to check the rubble, and luckily, everyone had gotten out safely.

The building’s ground, first, and second floors fell down. The police confirmed that families living on the first and second floors managed to leave in time before the collapse.

At the time of the incident, some renovation work was happening on the ground floor, raising worries that workers might still be inside. However, the contractor assured that all workers had left before the collapse.

In the end, thanks to the quick response from fire and police teams, everyone was safe, and no injuries were reported.
