BCCI Reveals 2024-25 Cricket Player Contracts: Key Changes!

On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the team contracts for Indian cricket players for the 2024-25 season. Most players keep their same contracts. Star players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja are in the top category, known as A+.

Exciting news: Rishabh Pant has moved up to Grade A from Grade B, taking the spot of R Ashwin, who retired from international cricket last year. Other players in Grade A include Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammed Shami.

Both Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, who missed out in last year’s list, have made a comeback. Iyer is now in Grade B, while Kishan is in Grade C.

Newcomers like Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Abhishek Sharma, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, and Akash Deep, who played their first matches in 2024, received their first-ever BCCI contracts. Varun Chakravarthy, who has returned strongly to the Indian team, also got his first contract.

Grade C has 19 players this year. Unfortunately, some players like Shardul Thakur, KS Bharat, Jitesh Sharma, and Avesh Khan were dropped from the contract list.

BCCI Pay Grades:
– Grade A+: ₹7 crore
– Grade A: ₹5 crore
– Grade B: ₹3 crore
– Grade C: ₹1 crore
