Soha Ali Khan on Media Attention for Celebrity Kids: A Balanced View

Last month, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt asked photographers not to take pictures of their daughter, Raha, after an incident involving Saif Ali Khan. Soha Ali Khan, whose daughter Inaaya often gets photographed, shared her thoughts on this issue.

In an interview, Soha understood why Alia and Ranbir want to keep Raha from the cameras. She mentioned, “Kunal (her husband) and I talk about this too! Our relationship with the media has been respectful. I remember when we took Inaaya swimming, some paparazzi were there. We asked them not to take pictures, and they listened. Parents can ask the media not to take photos of their kids, and usually, the media respects that. It’s not like that in Hollywood, but we’re lucky here.”

Soha believes being photographed with kids is part of their job, but if kids ever feel uncomfortable, they should tell their parents. She said, “We are public figures, but our children are not. They shouldn’t feel stressed by it. It’s just part of life. We can’t fight it, so we should accept it. We should talk to our kids and explain that people are interested in them which is why they are taking pictures. If they feel upset or worried, we need to listen and help them.”

Soha also thinks that with social media, parenting is more challenging. Parents need to be loving and supportive as they navigate this new world.

                                                                          Soha’s New Role
Soha is currently acting as the villain in “Chhorii 2,” a horror movie directed by Vishal Furia. It also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and others. The film was released on Prime Video on April 11.
