David Warner Captains Karachi Kings in Exciting PSL Journey!

David Warner, a famous former cricket player from Australia, is about to start his first season in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year. He will be the captain of the Karachi Kings. Warner has played in many different cricket leagues around the world, but he couldn’t join the PSL before because he was busy with other matches. Now that he has retired from international cricket, he has the time to play.

During a press conference before the opening match against Mohammad Rizwan’s Multan Sultans, a Pakistani reporter asked Warner about some negative comments he received from Indian fans for playing in the PSL. The reporter said that some people are upset because Warner wasn’t chosen during the IPL auction last year. Warner said he had never heard of this before. “I want to play cricket,” he explained. “I have a chance to be in the PSL now, and I’m excited to compete with Karachi Kings to try to win the trophy.”

Last season, Warner played for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL and led the team after Rishabh Pant could not play due to a car accident. However, Delhi released him before the auction in November.

Warner’s IPL Success

Warner is the highest-scoring overseas player in IPL history, with 6,565 runs in 184 games. He has played for two teams: the Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Warner had some of his best performances with Sunrisers, even leading them to victory in 2016. Right now, he is the fourth-highest run-scorer in the entire IPL, behind only Indian players Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, and Rohit Sharma.
