A 30-year-old businessman and his two friends were hurt when their speeding car crashed into a divider on the Bandra Worli Sea Link early Sunday morning, police reported. The driver was found to be drinking alcohol before the accident.
The crash happened around 1:45 AM while they were coming back to Ghatkopar from Haji Ali, a popular spot in south Mumbai. The driver, who lives in Ghatkopar, lost control of the car, leading to the crash.
After the accident, the Worli police quickly arrived at the scene and took the injured men to the hospital. Tests showed that they had been drinking alcohol. The police have now started an investigation and filed charges against the businessman under laws regarding driving and alcohol use.
