Amar Kaushik, the filmmaker of the successful horror-comedy Stree 2, shared his experiences after the movie’s big success. The film quickly became popular with both fans and critics, making it one of the highest-grossing films of 2024.
In a recent chat with Komal Nahta on his YouTube channel, Game Changers, Amar opened up about how much pressure he felt while making Stree 2. He said, “I worked very hard on this film with a lot of stress. There were many problems, and we completed it quickly. Now, I plan to take it easy for the next 3 to 4 months.” He also noted that people are very excited about his next project and are constantly asking when it will be released. Amar added, “I’m trying not to feel that pressure.”
Amar explained that making a sequel is always tough because people can be very critical. He and his writer, Niren Bhatt, prepared themselves for the challenges. He mentioned that when it came to special effects (VFX), it was hard to manage time. He said, “In the last 2 to 3 months, I didn’t sleep much because there was so much work to do.”
Since Stree 2 has been released, Amar is now catching up on sleep and feeling better.
