A dangerous tornado outbreak is expected to hit parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Illinois today. The National Weather Service (NWS) has announced a ‘high’ risk for severe weather, warning millions of people in the Midwest and South. There are multiple tornado watches in effect across these four states.

The NWS warns that we could see very strong tornadoes, possibly EF3 or even stronger. The NOAA Storm Prediction Center said there will be a tornado outbreak starting this afternoon and continuing into tonight, affecting areas from the lower Mississippi Valley to the Mid-South and lower Ohio Valley.
