His last post on Instagram, shared on March 23, featured a painting of a colorful bonfire and included the caption, “It’s got that late-night glow. Cool tones with a low burn, like when the campfire cools down, but you’re still wide awake.”
After his death, many fans left heartfelt messages in the comments. One fan wrote, “Rest in Peace, you amazing artist and human!” Another said, “You were an amazing actor with roles that will live on forever.”
Val Kilmer became well-known for his role as Iceman in Top Gun and starred as Jim Morrison in The Doors. He had battled throat cancer since 2014, but recently his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, shared that he passed away due to pneumonia.
