Actress Shalini Pandey, who became famous after her role in the hit Telugu movie “Arjun Reddy,” is tired of being compared to Bollywood star Alia Bhatt. After her recent success in the film “Maharaj,” Shalini has caught a lot of attention for her charm and talent.
In a recent interview, Shalini shared her feelings about these comparisons. While she appreciates the admiration, she wants to make her own mark in the industry. “Alia is fantastic! We don’t need another Alia. She is great as she is, both on and off the screen,” Shalini said.
The 31-year-old actress emphasized that she wants to be recognized for her own unique qualities, not just be seen as another version of Alia. “I want people to see who I am as Shalini and not just put me in a box. I love that people compare us out of admiration, but I want to be my own person,” she added.
Looking ahead, Shalini is excited about her upcoming project, “Idly Kadai,” directed by the famous actor Dhanush. The film also stars Nithya Menen and has faced delays due to some pending shoots. The release date is still unknown.
