On Tuesday, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, along with the Nepalese government, signed agreements to support 10 important community projects in Nepal. These projects will improve education, health, and culture with a total budget of 625 million Nepali Rupees.
The projects include building schools, a library, and health posts in various places, such as:
– Sanba Secondary School in Taplejung
– Ngagyur Nyngma Palyul Dhongag Chholing Monastery in Solukhumbu
– Nepal-Bharat Maitri E-Library in Chitwan
– Health Posts in Sindhupalchowk (two locations)
– Ninyukharka Secondary School in Gulmi
– Naya Gaun Secondary School in Rupandehi
– Nepal-Bharat Maitri Hospital in Humla
– Siddhanath Secondary School in Kailali
– Shree Satyavadi Secondary School buildings in Bajhang
Local governments in Nepal will manage these projects, which aim to provide better educational and healthcare facilities for the people.
Since 2003, India has worked on 573 community development projects in Nepal and has completed 495 of them, including in areas like education, health, and roads. The remaining projects are still in progress.
The Embassy stated that these projects show India’s ongoing support to help Nepal grow and improve its infrastructure, showing the strong friendship between the two countries.
