A green flag was put up at a temple in Pachegaon village, Beed district, Maharashtra, causing a little trouble. The police stepped in to calm everyone down.

On Sunday, villagers celebrated Gudi Padwa with a festival and an annual yatra (procession) from the Kanifnath temple. On Monday, which was also Eid, someone decided to put up a green flag next to the saffron flag that was already there. This made some people in the village worried for a short while.

The police talked to members of the two different communities living in the village and worked to solve the conflict. They agreed to take both flags down from the temple. Thankfully, no one was arrested or charged in this situation.
