On Monday, SpaceX launched a mission into space with four private astronauts led by Chun Wang, a crypto entrepreneur. They are going to orbit the Earth from north to south, something no one has done before! Wang, who made his money from bitcoin mining, is not just funding the mission but is also its commander. The mission is called Fram2, named after a famous ship that explored the Arctic a long time ago.

The four crew members were driven to the launchpad in Tesla cars, which are made by Musk’s other company. As they traveled, they saw a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launching a different mission into the sky. Wang posted a video on X, the social media platform owned by Musk, saying they were excited to see a rocket launch while on their way to their own launch.

This mission, known as SpaceX’s sixth private astronaut flight, shows how SpaceX is growing in the world of human space travel. It’s special because it does not involve any government support. Previously, most demand for such flights came from wealthy tourists wanting to experience space. Each seat on a Crew Dragon flight costs about $55 million, and now astronauts from various governments pay this for their national pride and space experience.

Wang’s crew includes a filmmaker from Norway, a German scientist who studies robots and polar regions, and an Australian adventurer known for his extreme skiing in polar areas. As they prepare for their mission, they are ready for an unforgettable adventure in space!
