A fight broke out between two groups in the same community after Eid prayers in Tirwada village, Nuh, on Monday morning, leaving more than five people hurt. The incident happened at 9 am and was caused by a long-standing disagreement between two leaders, Rashid and Sajid.
Members of one group were walking home after prayer at an Idgah when they argued with members from the other group. This quickly turned into a fight, where both sides used sticks to attack each other. When the police arrived, they managed to stop the violence. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said that there has been an ongoing problem between Rashid and Sajid’s groups, with past clashes leading to earlier reports. In this latest fight, Meeru and Hafiz from Rashid’s side and Khurshid, Ashmin, and Noor Mohammad from Sajid’s side got hurt. Other people from both groups suffered minor injuries too.
Police teams are still in the village to keep the peace. They are looking into the incident and plan to file a formal report soon.
