Members of the famous K-pop girl group Blackpink are getting criticized for saying the “N-word” in videos before they became famous. A user on Discord, calling themselves “YG Leaker,” shared these videos, revealing Blackpink members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa using this offensive word several times.
Fans quickly reacted, with one person commenting, “Of all the songs, they chose to say this word while being fluent in English. What’s going on with YG Entertainment’s training?”
Others pointed out that Jennie and Rosé, who grew up in English-speaking countries, should have known better. One fan noted, “Crazy how Jisoo covered a Nicki Minaj song and didn’t slip up.”
Another user said, “Some people are defending them, saying it’s the company’s fault. Sure, YG could have edited it, but Jennie and Rosé should also take responsibility; they know better.”
The identity of YG Leaker is unknown, but they claim to be a former employee of YG Entertainment who has a lot of sensitive data about K-pop stars. They shared, “I’m doing this because I got fired. I hate the whole company; it’s full of bullying, racism, and sexism.”
Along with Blackpink’s videos, the leaker has shared clips related to other popular K-pop groups and idols as well.
