Rajat Patidar and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have kicked off the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) with a bang! They won two big games away from home against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Former RCB star AB de Villiers shared his thoughts about RCB’s “crazy” schedule.
After two great wins, RCB is now at the top of the points table. They will play their first home game against the Gujarat Titans next. However, after that game, they have to travel again to face the Mumbai Indians, who have won the tournament five times!
De Villiers praised RCB’s fantastic start, saying, “Starting a season is tough, but they nailed it. They have two away games and then get to play at home before hitting the road again. That’s a crazy schedule! But it can be a real advantage, helping the team bond and stay close together.”
He also mentioned how beating tough teams like KKR and CSK can make things easier moving forward. “By winning against KKR at their home ground and also against CSK, RCB’s path becomes smoother from here on,” he added. RCB is currently the only team with two wins and a strong run rate!
