Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has found a new actress to play Dayaben! According to a report from News18, they are currently doing trial shoots with her. Asit Modi, the show’s producer, has been searching for the right person for this important role.

The source says, “Yes, it’s true! Asit ji wanted a new Dayaben, and they recently found an actress who did a great audition. Mock shoots have started, and she has been with us for about a week.”

Previously, the beloved character of Dayaben was played by Disha Vakani. She took a break from the show in 2018 after having a baby.

A while back, Asit promised fans that Disha would come back. He said, “Disha is a special artist, and fans have been waiting for her return. I promise you all that she will be back soon.”

Last year, there were rumors that Disha was having health issues. Some reports claimed that she had throat problems because of Dayaben’s unique voice. Malav Rajda, the show’s director, denied these rumors on social media, calling them false.
