The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results for the Class 10 board exams, and Sakshi Kumari, a laborer’s daughter, stood out as one of the top three students in the state! Speaking to the press, Sakshi couldn’t believe she got the first rank. She thought she would only be in the top ten but never expected to be number one.
“I just finished 10th grade, and now I want to finish 12th and aim for the top again. I studied hard because I wanted to be among the top ten, but I never thought I would be first,” she said.
Sakshi shared the top spot with Anshi Kumari and Ranjan Verma, all three scoring an amazing 489 out of 500 marks, which is 97.8 percent! Another impressive student, Punit Kumar Singh, got the second rank and wants to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He came from a government school and wants other students to know that good teachers are there too.
Punit encouraged students by saying, “We should always work hard, set high goals, and go to school every day.”
This year, 123 students made it to the top 10, with 63 boys and 60 girls, showing that both boys and girls are doing really well. The results show how hard students across Bihar have worked and are a big achievement for the Bihar board in running fair exams.
More details about the overall pass percentage and what steps students can take for revaluation or further education will be shared soon on the BSEB’s official website.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar sent his heartfelt congratulations to all students who passed, stating, “Congratulations to everyone who did well in the Matriculation examination! A total of 15,58,077 students took the test, and 12,79,294 passed. This is a great achievement for students, and I wish you all a bright future!”
