Aditi Rao Hydari, the talented actress, got lots of praise for her role in the show ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.’ Her unique dance walk turned into a viral hit online! But after all this fame, she didn’t get many new acting roles, which surprised her. In a chat with Farah Khan on YouTube, Aditi shared that there was a “drought” of offers after ‘Heeramandi.’ She joked about how she thought there would be tons of exciting work, but instead, nothing came.
Farah, surprised by her story, teased Aditi about her marriage. Aditi laughed and explained that with all the free time, she decided to get married. Last September, she tied the knot with actor Siddharth in a sweet and simple wedding surrounded by family and friends.
In ‘Heeramandi,’ Aditi played a character named Bibbojaan and wowed everyone with her dance called “Saiyaan Hatto Jao.” The show featured other stars like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, and Richa Chadha, telling stories about courtesans during India’s struggle for freedom in the 1940s. It premiered on Netflix on May 1.
Now, Aditi has signed on for a new romantic drama where she’ll act alongside Avinash Tiwary. The film is being directed by Imtiaz Ali and will also feature Arjun Rampal, and it’s produced by Netflix.
