The protesters blocked the busy Tonk Road, asking the police to arrest the person responsible for the vandalism.

As more people joined, the situation got tense, and police decided to use mild force to break up the protest. They detained a few individuals and opened the road for traffic again. The trouble started when locals discovered that a statue of a god had been broken, leading to a gathering for a demonstration.

The police reassured the protesters that they would take action, but the crowd kept protesting until the police had to intervene. Assistant Commissioner of Police Vinod Sharma mentioned that some people were detained and the road was cleared.

VHP spokesperson Amitosh Pareek expressed that the vandalism hurt the feelings of the Hindu community. He called the act an insult to Tejaji Maharaj and requested the police to identify and catch the guilty person.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also stated that disturbing religious sentiments was not acceptable. He insisted that those responsible be found quickly and punished severely. He added that stronger safety measures should be in place to protect religious sites from future incidents.

Meanwhile, RLP leader and MP Hanuman Beniwal claimed that the police hurt the protesters on the orders of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He demanded the release of the detained party members, stating that the police should listen to the people’s concerns without resorting to violence.
