Prithviraj Celebrates Priyanka Chopra’s Barfi! Performance & SSMB 29 News

Prithviraj Sukumaran is busy promoting his exciting new movie called L2: Empuraan, which stars Mohanlal and hit theaters on March 27. He also announced that he is working on SS Rajamouli’s film SSMB 29, where Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra will play the main roles. Prithviraj has been involved in this project for over a year.

While promoting L2: Empuraan, he praised Priyanka Chopra’s acting skills in a chat with Instant Bollywood. When asked about his favorite Priyanka film, he picked Barfi! He said, “Barfi! features one of the best performances by any actor in Indian cinema over the last 25 years.”

He noted that Priyanka had a tough role and deserves more credit. He mentioned, “Ranbir did great, but people don’t talk enough about Priyanka’s performance. The character she played in Barfi! was really tricky. She could have easily messed it up, but she did an amazing job.”

Barfi!, directed by Anurah Basu, came out in 2012 and was loved by audiences. Priyanka played a character named Jhilmil, who is autistic, and her performance was highly praised by many, often considered her best.

In other news, some pictures from the grand set of SSMB 29 recently appeared online. They show Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Rajamouli posing with locals in Koraput. In one photo, Priyanka is seen writing a note that says, “Dear Koraput, thank you for the warm hospitality. Looking forward to many such adventures. With love from the sets of SSMB-29.” The filmmakers have not yet officially confirmed the film’s cast.
