Virat Kohli had a tough time during his innings in the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday. After scoring a great 59 runs in RCB’s first match of IPL 2025 against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kohli couldn’t find his rhythm this time. He managed only 31 runs from 30 balls before getting out to Noor Ahmad.

From the start, Kohli struggled to hit the ball well. He mistimed shots and even took a hit on his helmet from a fast bouncer by Matheesha Pathirana. At one point, he almost got run out but managed to stay at the crease. His best moment came in the 10th over when he hit a six and a four off Pathirana, but that excitement didn’t last long.

As the CSK bowlers brought in spin, Kohli found it even harder to score. Noor Ahmad and Ravindra Jadeja bowled tightly, making it tough for him to get runs. In the 12th over, Kohli tried to hit a big shot but ended up getting caught at deep mid-wicket.

After Kohli’s dismissal, many fans were critical of his performance. Despite his challenges, RCB finished the innings with a solid score of 196 runs for 7 wickets. Rajat Patidar was the standout performer with a score of 51 off 32 balls. Phil Salt also had a great start, scoring 32 runs in just 16 balls. On the bowling side, Noor Ahmad shone for CSK, taking 3 wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs, while Matheesha Pathirana took 2 wickets.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Khaleel Ahmed also contributed with a wicket each. A late boost from Tim David, who scored an unbeaten 22 runs off 8 balls, helped RCB reach a challenging total that would test CSK under the stadium lights.
