Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant was not worried about the talk of Sunrisers Hyderabad trying to score 300 runs at home before their game in the IPL 2025. He confidently challenged the team led by Pat Cummins at the toss, saying that they are ready to chase any target to get their first win of the season. LSG won the toss and chose to bowl first in their second match.

Sunrisers are known for their strong performances at home. In their first game against Rajasthan Royals, they scored a massive 286 runs, just one run short of their own IPL highest score. Because of this, everyone was curious if they could be the first IPL team to go past 300 runs.

But Pant wasn’t fazed by the hype. He made it clear that Lucknow is prepared to chase down any score, saying, “We are going to chase whatever they score, it doesn’t matter.” They had lost their opener against Delhi Capitals by just one wicket, so they were eager to bounce back.

Pant also confirmed one change in the team: Avesh Khan came in for Shahbaz Ahmed. As for Pat Cummins, he said his team remains positive and aims to win together, emphasizing the excitement of playing in the tournament.

Former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta provided insight on the pitch, saying it didn’t seem suitable for a 300-run total. He explained that the pitch has good bounce, but it might slow down later in the game. Last season, the pitch showed it could still produce high scores, but he didn’t expect any team to hit 300 runs that night.
