Donald Trump is stirring things up regarding a scandal tied to a messaging app called Signal. This issue has raised alarms about U.S. national security, with important government officials facing tough questions in a Senate hearing.

In a recent interview with Newsmax, Trump pointed fingers at a “lower level” employee who works for his national security advisor, Michael Waltz. This employee is being blamed for a serious mistake where information about U.S. military actions in Yemen was leaked to a journalist.

Trump suggested that Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor of The Atlantic, somehow gained access to a private chat where top officials discussed military plans. Trump explained that someone with permission on the call must have mistakenly let Goldberg in by using the app.

Waltz admitted during a Fox News interview that he takes “full responsibility” for letting Goldberg join the conversation, saying, “I built the group.”

Meanwhile, the Pentagon is telling officials to stop using the Signal app, even for unclassified information, due to a security concern. They found out that Russian hackers are using a feature called “linked devices” to snoop on encrypted talks.

Despite the leak, Trump insists that no classified information was shared in the chat. “No, it wasn’t classified,” he stated in his interview.
