bihar petition filed against cm nitish kumar in court for disrespecting national anthem

In Begusarai, a court case has been filed against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The complaint says he disrespected the national anthem during a public event in Patna. The petition was filed by Vikas Paswan, who claims that when the national anthem was played at Patliputra Stadium on March 20, Nitish Kumar didn’t stand up. Instead, his body language and actions suggested he was not paying respect to the anthem.

Paswan’s lawyer, Amit Kumar, explained that we learn to respect the national anthem from a young age and that being disrespectful is harmful to the nation. The case has been submitted to the additional chief judicial magistrate (West) in Muzaffarpur, and the court has told that a notice should be served to Nitish Kumar regarding this matter. The hearing is set for March 25.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized Kumar’s behavior, suggesting that the Chief Minister was not fit for his role and that he should resign. He mentioned that the people of Bihar are suffering under Kumar’s leadership. Yadav also stated that recent actions by the Chief Minister raise doubts about his ability to lead. Congress leader Pawan Khera expressed concerns about Bihar’s safety under Kumar and referred to a recent shooting incident in Patna as proof of worsening law and order.

Just a few days before, a video of Nitish Kumar went viral, showing him seemingly talking and gesturing while the national anthem played, leading to even more criticism from various political leaders.
