Miller Gardner, the youngest son of baseball star Brett Gardner, passed away while on vacation in Costa Rica, and his girlfriend, Zoe Williams, shared a touching tribute on TikTok. Miller died from asphyxiation, which means he had trouble breathing, possibly after eating something that didn’t agree with him.

Zoe posted a video featuring their happy moments together, set to the song “Scott Street” by Phoebe Bridgers. The video showed them wearing matching outfits, like cute sushi-themed snuggies and “I heart my girlfriend/boyfriend” T-shirts.

In her heartfelt message, Zoe expressed how much she loved Miller. “I’m so crushed and never imagined this could happen,” she wrote. “I wish I could have said goodbye or hugged you one last time. I’ll never forget how special you made me feel.”

Miller got sick suddenly while on vacation with his family at the luxury Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest resort in Costa Rica. He was not the only one who became ill; others in his family also felt unwell. The local authorities are investigating his death to find out more details.

Brett Gardner and his wife, Jessica, said, “We have many questions but know that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 21st.” They are working with officials to bring Miller’s body back to the U.S.
