On Monday, it was announced that Vijay’s last movie, Jana Nayagan, will now come to theaters on January 9, 2026, for Pongal instead of the previously planned October release. Soon after this announcement, the producer of Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, hinted that his movie might also be coming out around the same time.
Fans had mixed reactions to this news. Some hoped Parasakthi would pick a different date to avoid a clash with Jana Nayagan. One fan wrote, “I want Jana Nayagan to release during Pongal; I hope the Parasakthi team considers another date.” Another fan added, “Two big movies releasing on the same day could hurt box office sales.”
However, some fans believed both movies could release for Pongal on different dates. One suggested Parasakthi could release on January 14, which would give it a few days to shine after Jana Nayagan comes out. Another fan expressed excitement, saying, “Let’s celebrate both movies!”
Currently, there’s no official release date for Parasakthi.
