A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya has been arrested for having her husband killed. Her name is Pragati Yadav, and she got married to Dilip Yadav just 14 days before his death on March 19.
Pragati wanted her husband gone because she felt forced to marry him. She asked a man named Ramji Nagar to help her, paying him ₹2 lakh (about $2,400) to do the job. Police found CCTV footage showing Nagar taking Dilip to a field under the false promise of needing help with something.
Dilip was found hurt in the field and died three days later. After an 8-day investigation, police arrested Pragati, Nagar, and another man named Anurag Yadav, who had been in a relationship with Pragati for four years. During questioning, Nagar admitted that he killed Dilip. The police are continuing to investigate this shocking case.
