Kunal Kamra, a popular stand-up comedian known for his bold humor, is in hot water again. Recently, he made comments that upset a lot of people and led to a big argument in Maharashtra. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was one of those who felt offended. Kamra, who is 36 years old, often finds himself in controversy. He has faced bans from airlines for his jokes and has been in trouble with the court for criticizing judges.

This week, Kamra left Maharashtra after a chaotic situation where Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asked him to apologize. Meanwhile, opposition leader Uddhav Thackeray supported Kamra, but some members of the Shiv Sena political party vandalized the place where Kamra was supposed to perform.

Kamra has a huge social media presence, with millions of followers. Recently, he shared a photo of himself holding the Indian Constitution and captioned it, “The only way forward…”

He grew up in Mumbai and started his career in advertising before switching to comedy. His humor often touches on serious issues, which has made him well-known. In 2017, one of his first viral videos criticized the government for using patriotism as a shield against criticism.

Later that year, he began a show called “Shut Up Ya Kunal” where he interviewed various public figures, mixing serious questions with funny content. This show also stirred up some controversy.

In 2020, Kamra interrupted TV anchor Arnab Goswami on a flight, which got him banned from several airlines. He also faced legal problems for making fun of the Supreme Court after Goswami received bail for a serious case.

Kamra continued to create buzz by sharing jokes and videos that offended some people, including a child singing for Prime Minister Modi. He later apologized for that incident. In another controversy, he challenged a religious organization to denounce the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi.

Most recently, Kamra mocked Bollywood star Salman Khan in his new show, leading to destruction at the performance venue by Shiv Sena workers. The venue decided to shut down temporarily and issued a statement saying they want to support free expression without risking safety.
