The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) sent a demolition team to The Habitat studio at the Unicontinental hotel in Khar, Mumbai. This happened after comedian Kunal Kamra made a funny video making fun of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde. The video created a big stir.

The BMC workers arrived with hammers to remove parts of the studio they said were built illegally. According to Assistant Commissioner Vinayak Vispute, the owner of the studio built some temporary structures without permission, and they are taking them down right away. He added that they are checking the building plans for other illegalities and will decide what to do next.

In Kamra’s performance at The Habitat studio, he called Shinde a “traitor” and sang a funny song about him, using a tune from the movie ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai.’ On Sunday night, some workers from Shiv Sena went to the studio and caused damage, as reported by the police.

The Mumbai police have filed a complaint against Kamra for making hurtful comments about Shinde. They also arrested Rahul Kanal, a Shiv Sena member, along with 11 others for vandalizing the hotel where Kamra made his controversial comments.
