Pakistan Army Takes Down 16 Militants at Afghanistan Border

Pakistan’s army has reported that they killed 16 Islamist militants near the border with Afghanistan. The army said this happened during a fight at night on March 22-23 in North Waziristan district. They mentioned that their soldiers effectively stopped the militants from crossing the border. The Pakistani government believes that these militants, who attack Pakistan, find safe places in Afghanistan, but the Afghan government denies this. This incident happened while Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Sadiq Khan, was visiting Kabul to discuss important issues between the two countries.
