A controversial priest named Yati Narsinghanand Giri has been accused of spreading hate and being disrespectful towards important police officers in a video, officials reported on Saturday.

According to a police report, the priest from Dasna Devi Temple made insulting comments about Mahatma Gandhi and used words that could provoke anger in different religious communities. The complaint also says he used bad language against the police commissioner and an assistant police commissioner in Ghaziabad.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rural) Surendra Nath Tiwari mentioned that the complaint was filed at the Wave police station on Friday. The complaint claims that Narsinghanand’s words were meant to cause trouble and disturb the peace among communities. Currently, the police are looking into the situation.
