Ola Electric Mobility, the company known for its electric bikes, is making headlines after clearing up recent confusion about its sales numbers for February 2025. Some reports claimed there were problems with the company’s vehicle registrations, but Ola explained that this was due to a temporary backlog and not any regulatory issues.
In a statement, Ola said its sales are still strong. They are quickly working to fix the delays in registering their vehicles. The company mentioned that they have already solved 40% of the backlog and hope to clear everything up by the end of March 2025.
They also pointed out that their daily vehicle registrations are now over 50% of their usual sales average. Ola emphasized that the confusion came from certain news outlets misreporting the situation and linking it to regulatory problems.
The confusion started when Ola decided to stop working with two vendors who were previously in charge of handling vehicle registrations.
According to earlier reports, the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) was looking into these registration differences. They noted that while Ola said they sold 25,000 vehicles in February, only 8,600 were registered. This created questions about the actual sales figures. MHI plans to send another letter to Ola soon to ask for more detailed information.
In summary, there’s no cause for alarm. Ola is handling the registration delay and expects to have everything sorted out soon.
