A big scandal is unfolding in Karnataka. It started when Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna revealed during an assembly meeting that he was part of a “honey trap.” This means someone tried to trick him into sharing secrets or information by using romantic or sexual attraction. Rajanna said he isn’t the only one affected — he mentioned that 48 other politicians from different parties had fallen victim to similar traps, including members from his party (Congress), the BJP, and the JDS.

BJP politician V Sunil Kumar hinted that the Congress party might be behind this “honey trap factory.” As a result, many BJP lawmakers shouted for a judicial inquiry, demanding to know the truth. Rajanna insisted that some traps were set up by powerful political figures with bad intentions.

Another minister, Satish Jarkiholi, spoke about two unsuccessful attempts to trap a senior minister. He stressed the importance of a police investigation to catch those responsible.

Karnataka’s Chief Minister Siddaramaiah promised a thorough investigation, indicating that no one involved in this scandal would be protected. While he assured that justice would be served, opposition leaders wanted an immediate judicial inquiry. The Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister said the inquiry would begin once Rajanna files a formal complaint.
