On Thursday, March 20, a serious fight happened between security forces and Maoists in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The shooting started at 7 am and lasted for hours. During the clash, one member of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) sadly lost his life.
A team of security personnel was sent to the border areas of Bijapur and Dantewada districts to carry out an operation against the Maoists. They are still searching the area to find more bodies. Along with the 18 bodies of the Maoists, security forces found a lot of weapons and ammunition at the place where the fight took place.
In a different part of Kanker district, four more Maoist bodies were discovered after another gunfight. This story is still developing and more updates will be coming soon.
