The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has decided to postpone the annual board exams for 2025 in the snowy regions of Pangi (Chamba district) and Lahaul-Spiti district. These exams were originally set for March 4, 2025.

Due to heavy snowfall and rain, many roads in Pangi and Lahaul-Spiti have been badly damaged, making it hard for students to get to their exam centers. To keep students’ interests in mind, the board has chosen to delay these exams.

The postponed exams affect students in Classes 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. The board will share new dates for these exams soon.

However, exams in other parts of Himachal Pradesh will go ahead as planned.

If the weather gets better and the necessary materials for exams can reach the affected places, the board will try to hold the postponed exams after March 8, along with the other exams taking place in the state.

Vishal Sharma, the Board Secretary, mentioned that the new dates for the postponed exams will be announced later.

This year, about 1.95 lakh students will take the Class 10 and 12 board exams across 2,300 centers.
