Chris Brown’s former housekeeper, Maria Avila, has taken legal action against the singer for an incident that happened on December 12, 2020. Maria claims that while she was taking out the trash, Chris Brown’s dog, Hades, attacked her, leaving her seriously injured. Now, Maria wants Chris to appear in court and share his financial information. She is asking for a whopping $90 million in damages.
Recently, it has been reported that Maria is trying to get the court’s help to make Chris show up for a deposition (a type of questioning in court). She also wants to see his financial records, including bank accounts, businesses, and income details. According to her lawyer, Maria believes Chris will not cooperate, even if the court orders him to do so. Therefore, they think this request is fair.
Maria is facing difficulties getting Chris to cooperate. His lawyers have claimed he no longer lives in California, making it tough for him to attend the deposition. However, Maria says that no one mentioned this before, so she believes she can still force him to appear in court. She has even asked the court to make Chris pay $7,560 for making this process harder.
Maria’s lawyer has stated that Chris witnessed the attack but did nothing to help her. Instead, he allegedly told his bodyguards to get rid of the dog, which was later euthanized. Maria was reportedly left without any help, and she has shared photos of her injuries from the attack. Chris has denied all claims and says that Maria caused this incident by provoking the dog.
