The Philadelphia Eagles, a popular football team, have decided not to visit the White House after winning the Super Bowl. This decision has upset many supporters of President Trump. Eagles’ captain Lane Johnson said it would be nice to go, but the team will vote on whether to accept the invitation from Trump. When asked if they would go, the Eagles replied with a big “no.”

In 2018, the year the Eagles won their Super Bowl, Trump became the first sitting president to watch the game live. However, there have been many disagreements between Trump and some NFL teams. Fans have called the NFL “woke” or too political, especially after Trump criticized players for kneeling during the national anthem to protest against racism.

When the Eagles’ players planned to skip the White House event because of Trump’s views, he then disinvited them. In a tweet, Trump mentioned that only a few players were interested in attending, so the visit was canceled.
