Rajkummar Rao shared the teaser for his new movie, Bhool Chuk Maaf, on Tuesday. Fans noticed that he has a special talent for playing characters from small towns who want to get married. In this film, he portrays a young man from Banaras who is thrilled about his upcoming wedding.

Recently, Rajkummar has taken on similar roles in other movies like Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Waala Video, Stree 2, Hum Do Humare Do, and Roohi. A popular comedian named Akshat noticed this trend in a funny video. He joked that there are not many stories to tell in India anymore, except for tales of boys from small towns wanting to marry. He humorously remarked that Rajkummar Rao, who he called India’s best actor, has become famous for these roles.

Akshat also pointed out that while Rajkummar has tried different movie genres, he always returns to the small-town guy storyline. Viewers on the internet agreed with Akshat’s observations. Some shared their thoughts, saying they liked Rajkummar’s earlier movies but felt he became too focused on having the hero role. Others joked that after his film Citylights, he decided never to show big cities again.

Fans are worried about him getting stuck in the same type of comedy roles. One comment said, “I hate to see Rajkumar being typecast in the same types of comedy movies; he has much more potential.”

Bhool Chuk Maaf is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan, in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios. In addition to this film, Rajkummar Rao will also appear in Maalik, which is set to release in theaters on June 20, 2025.
