In a recent meeting, US President Donald Trump said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a “much tougher negotiator” than he is. This happened during their discussions about trade deals and tariffs. Trump praised Modi, saying there’s no competition when it comes to their negotiating skills.
During a press conference, Trump mentioned that he plans to introduce a new trade deal with India. He said they will work on big trade agreements soon and promised to create amazing trade deals that benefit both India and the US.
Trump also pointed out that doing business in India is quite difficult because of high tariffs. He remarked, “India has some of the highest tariffs in the world, making it tough for companies to operate there.” Overall, Trump seems optimistic about improving trade between the two countries.
