Aarushi Nishank, the daughter of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, claims she was tricked out of Rs 4 crore (about $482,000) by two film producers from Mumbai. She says they promised her a big role in a Hindi movie but made her invest in it instead.

According to her, the producers, Mansi Varun Bagla and Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla, convinced her to invest Rs 5 crore with the promise of making a lot of money from the movie. Aarushi initially sent them Rs 2 crore through her company, Himshree Films, and later gave them more money until the total reached Rs 4 crore.

Later, she found out that she had been replaced by another actress, and the movie was filmed without her. When she asked for her money back, the producers allegedly refused and threatened her.

The movie “Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan,” which she was supposed to be in, features actors Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor. Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla responded to the accusations by saying they are untrue and that this matter is just a civil issue over a business deal. He claimed Aarushi approached them for the project and that their financial disagreements had led to this complaint, which he believes is meant to harm their reputations.
