The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to win a lot of seats in the Delhi assembly elections. Businessman Robert Vadra spoke to ANI about how this is because of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) not doing well. He said that the people of Delhi have made their choice and noticed that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal didn’t keep his promises. Vadra mentioned that Kejriwal used his name back in 2012-13 to help his political career. He said he was surprised that Kejriwal made false accusations against him just because of his connection to the Gandhi family. Vadra criticized Kejriwal, saying he tried to get attention by bringing up things that he could not prove.
Vadra also spoke about former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, saying that people were very happy under her leadership. He noted that the Congress party is doing much better now than it did ten years ago. According to early results from the Election Commission, BJP is leading with 47 seats, while AAP has 23 and Congress has not won any seats yet.
The BJP has reached a majority in the Delhi assembly elections, which is a good sign for them. Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva said that people trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi is expected to visit the party’s headquarters to celebrate the victory. BJP workers were seen celebrating outside their office with firecrackers, dancing, and singing. Key leaders met at the party office to discuss the results.
Polling for the 70-member assembly happened on February 5, and about 60.54% of people voted. Modi also criticized Kejriwal during this time.
