Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently met with BK Goenka, the Chairman of Welspun World. They talked about exciting opportunities in areas like textiles, energy, water treatment, and infrastructure. Sarma invited Goenka to the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, saying that the state government is eager to support Welspun’s investments in Assam. He believes the summit is the perfect place to turn their business ideas into real projects.
Sarma also spoke with Ravi Ruia, the Vice Chairman of Essar Group. They discussed working together to manufacture electric trucks in Assam and explore renewable energy projects. Sarma encouraged Ruia to join the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit as well. Finally, he had a conversation with Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, about potential partnerships in Assam’s infrastructure and energy sectors.
