The Indian government has decided to extend the National Commission for Safai Karamchari (NCSK) for another three years. This extension is important because the NCSK helps improve the lives of sanitation workers. The new end date for the commission is now March 31, 2028.
The government expects that this extension will cost about Rs 50.91 crore. This money will be used to support the workers, make their jobs safer, and aim for zero accidents while cleaning dangerous places. The goal is to help sanitation workers live better lives and work in safer conditions.
