The Delhi Police has caught a group of scammers who tricked people online and made big profits by cheating them. Three men were arrested in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. These men were part of a larger gang that worked with cyber criminals in countries like Cambodia, Thailand, and Canada.

The police started investigating after a woman reported she lost ₹94,000. She received a call from someone pretending to be from the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. They scared her by saying her phone was being used for illegal activities and threatened to arrest her unless she sent money. Afraid of getting in trouble, she transferred money through an app to different accounts.

After getting the complaint, the police registered a case and began searching for the scammers. They tracked phone records and money trails, which helped them find the culprits and their operations using special phone technology called SIP trunking.

The men arrested are Ajaydeep, Abhishek Srivastava, and Ashutosh Bora. Ajaydeep has a degree in engineering and business and had an office for making fake phone calls. Abhishek knows how to fix computers and helped set up their calling systems. Ashutosh is a law student who worked closely with international cyber gangs.

The police arrested Ajaydeep and Abhishek on January 29 and Ashutosh on February 2. The technology they used, SIP, allowed them to make calls over the internet, pretending to be from real Indian phone numbers. They scared people into sending money to avoid being arrested by pretending to be officials.

The police found many high-tech devices used for these scams, like laptops, routers, and mobile phones. During questioning, the scammers mentioned a man named Mohammad Ali from Indore, who is believed to be the leader of this international fraud operation.
