The woman, who is middle-aged, arrived at Bandra Terminus with her son on an outstation train. After they got off, the woman went into another train that had just arrived on the other side of the platform. There were no other passengers in that train except for the porter.
The porter is accused of raping the woman and then running away. After the incident, the woman reported it at the Bandra Government Railway Police (GRP) station.
The police quickly checked surveillance camera footage to find the porter and were able to arrest him. They are also looking into why the woman went into the empty train after arriving at the station. The porter has been charged with rape under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, but more details about the case have not been shared.
